Pilot Premieres at the New York Television Festival (NYTVF)
August 28, 2007
I am very excited to announce that I am a principal character in a pilot chosen to premiere in competition at the New York Television Festival (NYTVF). I play Cagney, a ‘wet behind the ears’ angel with the best of intentions and the worst of luck. All that aside… I am one hell of a ‘massagist’. See below for links.

A BUSY AUGUST: THEATRE & FILM (VT/NY)
August 23, 2007
Bennington College & LAByrinth Theater Company:
For five wonderful days, I was able to attend the LAByrinth Theater Company annual “Intensive” as an invited actor! We workshopped and performed readings of new works by company members and LABfriends. I had a fantastic week in Bennington with the LAB company and look forward to working with them more and more.
SHOOTING THE FILM, PENANCE (Rochester, NY)
I left straight from Vermont on the 17th to make it to Rochester. We shot this short film in 6 days and had a really solid and fun cast & crew experience. The area is beautiful and so laid back. It felt very close to home. Special thanks to Steve and Jo for all their amazing hospitality!
Penance is based on a short story by Michael Crain that first appeared in Harper’s Weekly in May of 1997. My role is that of DENIS HATCHETT, a young man with Asperger’s Syndrome (a form of Autism). I loved sinking my teeth into the research of the syndrome and shaping it into a character that fit the needs of the script. This was a character actor’s dream role: Thick character/ impediment work, staged combat, blood work, drunk work, etc, etc. It was a true pleasure working with this director & crew and I will miss them incredibly. I am so proud to be a part of this project and cannot wait to see the final cut.
Casting: Judy Bowman
Producer: Randall Ehrmann/Alligator Pond Productions
Director: Ryan Gould
SUMMARY: Penance is a drama about Caleb Andrews (Michael Cullen), a man incapable of developing a relationship without destroying the person in the process. In fear of repeating the mistakes of his past Caleb lives in solitude, his only association being Lonnie (Charles Socarides), the one employee necessary to run his lawn and landscaping company. But when Caleb hires Dennis, a young man with autism, he is inadvertently awakened, taking steps to reengage with the world in attempt to build a productive relationship. Before long, Caleb finds himself in familiar territory, his care for Dennis in conflict with his disapproval of James (Khan Baykal), Dennis’s delinquent friend and housemate. In facing-off with Dennis’s other hero, Caleb must learn to let go if he is to overcome the cycle of guilt and anger that plagues his past and threatens to control his future.
